Becca Gradient Sunlit Bronzer and Glow Lip Gloss in Opal, Rose Quartz, and Rose Gold

June 18, 2018

There are quite a few new launches from Becca and today I’m rounding up two of them including the Gradient Sunlit Bronzers ($38 ea / 0.25 oz – 7 g) and a few shades from the Glow Lip Glosses ($22 ea / 0.18 oz – 5 g). Becca has had a good amount of releases so far this year for the complexion as well as lips, but these two are hands down among my top favorites.

Up first are the Gradient Sunlit Bronzers in Sunrise Waves and Sunset Waves. These were literally love at first swipe for me. Bronzer is my kryptonite and it’s the one product I refuse to go a day without. After years of testing various formulas from different brands, it has become kind of difficult to wow me these days because I thought there was little room left for improvement. The Becca Gradient Sunlit Bronzers are intensely pigmented and have a beautiful soft sheen on the skin. Texture is finely-milled and very smooth that was not either too soft or firm, so I didn’t experience any issues with a lot of product kick-up in the pans. They blend effortlessly into the skin without emphasizing any lines or pores and wore for well over nine hours on me.

What I really love about the Gradient Sunlit Bronzers is that while shimmery, the ratio of shimmer to color is an even balance. I live for shimmery bronzers but too often there is the issue of not enough color vs an overload of shimmers, either that or color is too sheer in coverage so all you’re left with is just a whole bunch of glitter all over the face. Either that or the shimmer separates from the color over the course of the day. Not with the Gradient Sunlit Bronzers, these are just perfectly executed and produces a gorgeous glow without flaw.

Each bronzer is fragmented into sections of different existing Becca powders. Becca says that each individual section can be used on its own but you will need smaller brushes in order to do so. I personally prefer to mix the colors together because this way you’ll achieve the full effect and get that Becca glow.

A look at the color selection and descriptions as I see them

Sunrise Waves is comprised of the Bali Sands, Capri Coast, and Bronzed Bondi Sunlit Bronzers along with the Opal highlighter for a naturally radiant, sun-kissed glow

Sunset Waves is comprised of the Maui Nights, Ipanema Sun, and Bronzed Bondi Sunlit Bronzers along with the Rose Gold highlighter

Next are the Glow Lip Glosses. I picked up three shades out of the ten available, including: Opal, Rose Gold and Rose Quartz. These are luxurious conditioning lip glosses with the shine of a lip gloss, pigment of a liquid lipstick, and nourishing benefits of a lip balm. The Becca Glow Lip Glosses are quite pigmented for a gloss formula and cover the whole lip entirely without just being all shine. In fact, these have more of a natural shine to them and pack a good amount of color. They do have some slip to them but not so much to where they slide off. The Glow Lip Glosses apply smoothly to the lips and are not thick or sticky and feel very comfortable throughout wear with medium hydrating properties. These contain ginger, peppermint oil, and a non-stinging peptide to make lips appear fuller and smoother. The colors were of course inspired by their best-selling Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighters and Luminous Blushes, to complement and enhance any look. Longevity is average for a gloss.

The glosses come with an angled sponge tip applicator and the design is based on last year’s Liquid Crystal Glow Glosses (reviewed here), but these are actual lip glosses instead of merely toppers.

Opal – is warm, light-medium nude with pink undertones
Rose Gold – is a warm, medium copper with subtle orange undertones
Rose Quartz – is a cool-neutral, light pink with blue undertones

Swatched on the lips. For skin tone reference, I am not wearing any foundation and am completely barefaced here. My skin tone is medium with pink undertones.

Bottom line there is lots to love from both new launches. Across the board colors are perfect, pigment is flawless, textures are smooth, all-in-all I love every item I picked up and they’ve became my new Spring/Summer go-to’s for that sunkissed glow and look. In the meanwhile Becca has launched some more new items including a new foundation and two all-over face palettes. Even though the face palettes are tempting, there are reports out that Becca will be coming back with a Chrissy Teigen pt 2 so I’m kind of holding out for that instead.

You can find the Gradient Sunlit Bronzers and Glow Lip Glosses on Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, Beautylish and Becca’s website.

The bronzers look like exactly what I’ve been looking for. I think Sunrise Waves needs to be mine.
