Hourglass launched a new brow product called the Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel ($28). Available in six universal shades, the Arch Brow is a buildable tinted gel formula infused with micro fibers to provide instant color, volume and definition for bold, fuller looking brows. Years ago, when I first started taking care of my brows and enhancing them through the use of product, I came to learn and appreciate the importance of a good brow. Today I have a small but well-loved collection of brow basics I rotate between. I groom them with the spoolie side of the Mikasa E400 Double Ended Brow Brush and although there are very few brow products I truly like (Anastasia Brow Whiz and Brow Powder Duo), I have been in dire need of a good tinted brow gel to add shape, definition and color in a more natural way. Basically, what I’ve been looking for is the end all be all of one-and-done brow products.
The new Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel is equipped with a unique dual-sided brush that features both short and long bristles to apply product in varying intensities – making it super easy to shape and define whether it is for perfectly sculpted or natural-looking, untamed brows. It has a volumizing, soft-hold flexible formula that boasts micro fiber gel technology that mimics real hair where there is barely any to create fuller looking brows that never look too precise or overdone.
I selected the color Warm Brunette which is a good warm medium brown. Even though I have black eyebrows, my hair is a dark brown but has both blonde and red undercurrents so pure black is completely too harsh on my face. Warm Brunette is deep enough to look natural on me and blends easily into my existing brow hairs for a seamless appearance. The gel is very easy to apply and also effortless to build without the possibility of going into overkill. Texture is creamy with a light-medium consistency but is not watery. Goes on not too thin or thick and fills out my brows perfectly. The color is richly pigmented and appears to have waterproof wear (survived a rainfall in Vegas), that wears for well over 12 hours without smudging or fading.
A little bit of brow history. I have sparse brows with inconsistent hair growth from years of overplucking as a teen. Currently I am in the process of regrowing them in thickness with some success. Below I have the before and after of when I apply the Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel, no other products used. The fibers add the volume and texture that I need plus fills in most of the little gaps. It gives my brows a thicker, fuller effect, while combing them into place which takes maybe 30 seconds tops for each brow.

Here’s a little before and after, excuse the lack of makeup … As you can see in the left image, I have some major gaps ranging from small to larger-sized ones. There is uneven hair growth especially around the arch area and I barely have an actual tail. Also the hair in the front is very sparse
So after one coat basically my entire brow is filled in. Obviously I do still need some help from my Brow Whiz to fill in the more stubborn gaps and to also detail feather in faux hairs in the front, which is okay because for just one coat this is absolutely amazing! More than not do I wear my brows exactly like this because I really like the natural yet polished aspect, plus it’s so quick and effortless!
Bottom line, I give the Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel two big thumbs up! It’s a first for me to be completely blown away and this impressed by a brow product from the bat. Usually I will find some sort of flaw whether that’s in general formula (color, wear time, consistency, texture, application, etc.) or the applicator, but the Arch Brow is just utter perfection. Product applies evenly to the brows and adheres really well staying put all day. The whole concept is perfect for quick and easy everyday application that is impossible to overdo for a natural look with either soft or a little more dramatic definition depending on personal preference. Coming from someone who has severe insecurities about her brows, the Arch Brow is just pure love for me, pure love.
