Among my favorite highlighter discoveries from last year was the original Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder in 001 ($56 / 0.21 oz – 6 g | reviewed here) simply for the color and beautiful glow that produces a radiant, luminous complexion. For me the 001 Nude Air Luminizer gives me life, so you can only imagine how thrilled I was to find out that Dior launched their new Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Glow Addict Holographic Sculpting Powder for Spring 2018! The Glow Addict Powders are deemed as Holographic Sculpting Powders and are meant to enhance the complexion with the intense glow of Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer to achieve naturally glowing skin.
Available in two breezy Spring shades, 001 Holo Pink and 002 Holo Gold, the Glow Addict Powders are highly concentrated in holographic pearlescent pigments and have a shift to the color. I picked up 002 Holo Gold since it was the warmer option out of the two. Historically pink-toned highlighters look too cool and frosty on my medium skintone so I tend to stay away from all pink highlighting powders. 002 Holo Gold is a warm, light to medium gold with peach undertones and has a metallic finish that encapsulates a pink shift. The shimmer is complex with a mix of different color tones but does not project frosty on the skin. Despite being highly reflective, I love how the powder adds just the right amount of glow to the skin for a gorgeous natural luminous look. Due to the complex shimmer factor as well as color shift and light variations, the shade will look different depending on your skintone.
The Glow Addict Powder has a lightweight texture that melds seamlessly into the skin and sits stunningly on the complexion. In comparison to the original Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer formula, the Glow Addict Powder is less firm in the pan which causes a bit of powder kick-up with application. That being said the consistency itself is smooth to the touch. Lasting power is very impressive, lasting well beyond 10 hours before the color started to fade but more of the metallic sheen came out. Even though there’s a little more shimmer to the Glow Addict Powder, it did not emphasize pores or the skin’s natural texture – although I suspect the more you layer it might just do so.

Swatch comparison to the Nude Air Luminizer in 001
Bottom line, love! Evrything about the 002 Holo Gold Glow Addict Powder is beautiful, including the embossed surface that evokes the delicate tulle of a couture dress. I own and have collected quite a few (limited edition) highlighters over the years but there’s just something about the Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer formula that makes them a must-have for me every single time. The powders are versatile enough to use both as a highlighter as well as an eyeshadow. I love how they wear as the powder just melds with the skin to utter perfection. Of course, the original Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder in 001 will always remain my favorite but this one definitely made it to my top favorite Dior highlighters because I find the color unique.
Have you tried any of the new Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer: Glow Addict Edition powders yet? What are your thoughts on them?
