Belif is one of those skincare brands I am completely in love with. My first items I purchased from the line included The True Tincture Essence – Chamomile and The True Cream Aqua Bomb and it was love at first application. Since my skin can be quite temperamental and reacts very easily to something it doesn’t like, it has taken me well over a year of building a small Belif army through a careful selection process of what works for my skin, but the wait was well worth it and I’ve been happy with almost everything I’ve tried from the line since then. Late this Summer, Belif launched the new Moisturizing Eye Bomb ($48 / 0.84 fl oz – 25 ml) which features hydrating herb, comfrey leaf, and elasticity-boosting pennywort herb to provide a flood of intensive moisture for radiant and youthful-looking eyes. Being in my early 30’s, my primary skin concerns are anti-aging and hydration, especially for the eyes since they tend to accumulate lines and wrinkles the most prominent. Finding something that is lightweight yet holds enough moisture to thoroughly hydrate the skin while smoothing fine lines and boosting elasticity levels has been par for the course in my skincare travels the recent years. In terms of eye creams, this is one of my most impressive skincare discoveries I have run across, as of late. Think holy grail status.
The Moisturizing Eye Bomb is a super lightweight, refreshing eye cream that smooths fine lines with a 26-hour burst of moisture, boosts elasticity, and increases the resilience of the skin for flawless makeup application. It’s packed with hydrating herb, comfrey leaf, and elasticity-boosting pennywort herb, instantly delivering intense moisture for radiant and youthful-looking eyes. Equipped with a pleasant cooling texture, the formula instantly bursts with hydration, almost feeling like water on the skin, and blends seamlessly for a supple, radiant and plump eye area.
I have been using the Moisturizing Eye Bomb continuously on a regular basis for the last couple of months and after using it both alone as well as in combination with the Belif First Aid 360 Eye Care Mask (reviewed here), I have definitely seen an improvement in skin texture. Isolated, I did see results after using the cream for a solid week (morning and night) and noticed that those very fine lines were much smoother after that testing period. In combination with the Eye Bomb, I especially noticed a greater improvement in the presence (or lack there of) of fine lines caused by dryness as well as deeper laugh/squint lines, and observed a spike in the natural hydration levels. My eye area seems to retain more of its own moisture without product now vs prior when I solely used whatever eye cream on its own. I love combining the Eye Bomb with their Eye Care Mask as it is the perfect recipe for a dehydrated and aging under-eye area. After a few days of using said combination, my under-eye area looked much more youthful and streamlined.
Bottom line, a solid winner and exactly what I need for my skin now that anti-aging plays such a big factor more than ever in my routine. You can find both the Moisturizing Eye Bomb and First Aid 360 Eye Care Mask available at Sephora.
