Now that Fall has been making its presence known more and more here, everything in my wardrobe from makeup to shoes have been going through a bit of an update. As always, one of my favorite ways to update my beauty looks is to focus on new colors and different formulas for the eyes, cheeks and lips. It’s been since Spring that I have done a “What’s in my Bag” post and thought it would be a fun idea to do a little bag spill for Fall. Lately I’ve been rotating between my Summer as well as Fall purses. The temperatures are still reaching the low 90’s for the high some days and unfortunately I cannot go full-on layer, everything black with a side of knee-highs just yet – so I’ve been introducing autumnal pieces here and there when the weather permits. My official bag for Fall is the MICHAEL Michael Kors Grayson Satchel. That being said, due to the extended Summer we are experiencing I’ve been carrying around the Jet Set Logo Tote, otherwise known as one of my Summer bags. It’s a practical, fashionable and very roomy bag that effortlessly goes with everything. I love the design and the style.

As most of you babes already know, I like to carry my Louis Vuitton Cosmetic Pouch Monogram Canvas to keep my makeup organized and separated from other contents. This was gifted to me by my mother-in-law and I’ve found it perfect for storing odds and ends while traveling or just being on-the-go. For everyday use it functions as a practical and luxe stowaway for my makeup, sample perfume bag and sunglasses. Per usual, I carry one too many lip products around because I love to have options. I have my two favorite balms of the moment, the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 and Dior Addict Lip Glow in Pink (reviewed here). I’ve used them daily since the beginning of Summer. Since the weather does tango with lower mercury in the mornings, I find myself reaching for more color coverage. Other lip staples include Nars Velvet Lip Glides in Stripped, Unlaced and Suck (reviewed + swatched here). Tom Ford Lips & Boys in Bradley (reviewed + swatched here). Tom Ford Lips & Girls in Carine (reviewed + swatched here). Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss in 744 Subtil (reviewed here), and MAC x Nicki Minaj Lipstick in The Pinkprint and Nicki’s Nude (reviewed + swatched here).
Sunscreen is forever a 100% must with the impromptu high temperatures and hot sun. My favorite is still the Coola Sport Continuous Spray SPF 30 in Tropical Coconut. I really like the fact that this sunscreen has a lot of great skin benefiting properties and that it is Sport as well. The product has a sweet coconut smell and makes the skin look moisturized. The fact that it’s spray-on is amazing for easy on-the-go application because it cancels out having to get greasy cream all over hands. I liked it so much that I keep a travel-size version in my bag while I have the full-size standing on my bathroom counter.
For fragrance, I have not been able to get enough of the Soleil de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist Mini, and neither has anyone around me since I receive compliments daily on the scent. This body mist is to die for! If you’re obsessed with the Bum Bum Cream like I am, this smells JUST like it. It’s that perfect sweet, sexy and sultry Summer fragrance that indeed feels like it instantly transports you to the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. An absolute must if you love other parts of this collection. Since I have not been able to switch to a moodier scent due to the daily forecast, the Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist has worked perfectly as a transitional fragrance.
The mix of sun exposure, hot and stale air, plus being in a car for a while with mild perspiration can leave me feeling a little gross at times. These Yuni Shower Sheets Large Body Wipes have been virtual life savers in those instances because they are the perfect pick-me-ups. I will wipe down my arms, chest and legs before reapplying my sunscreen and feel completely fresh and renewed – pretty much like I just took a shower. They have a fresh, almost peppermint scent to them that fades literally within seconds. I suspect that for someone who goes to the gym but has no time to shower afterwards, or for those that travel a lot these would be just perfect.
Albeit that it has not been unbearably cold yet, nor has it reached lows that even remotely qualify as cold, my hands have already been yielding signs that I need to step up the moisture factor. For on-the-go, I like to keep the L’Occitane Hand Cream in Shea Butter on me. This has been a long-time favorite. If you have dry and rough hands, this is my one of top picks for both hydration relief and restoring the rough texture back to silky smoothness. It also has the best lightweight gentle citrus scent.
Spring is the only season when my hair can just be. In between Summer, Fall and Winter, the dryness associated with scorching temps as well as the cooler front virtually always exposes my mane to a perpetual straw-like texture that comes with suffering from dryness. And if I don’t maintain adding daily moisture, not only will my hair become severely parched but fragile and easily prone to breakage as well. Verb’s Ghost Oil has been both a game changer and saving grace keeping my hair from turning into perpetual straw. Ghost Oil (reviewed here) is a transparent, restorative hair oil that revitalizes hair from roots to ends. The formula features an integrated moringa oil blend that coats the hair shaft with essential nutrients. This can be applied to both damp or dry hair. I personally love to work this through dry hair every single day. Literally after the first use my hair felt noticeably softer and so much smoother. It’s very light and weightless but has incredible results.
Last but not least I can’t help myself from carrying around the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. I love to use it on my bare face like a regular facial spray if I want my complexion to look a tad bit extra in the luminosity department, or if I feel that my makeup just needs a refresher. I love how fresh it is and how my face feels after I spray it on. It makes my face look dewy and moisturized, plus the scent is simply heavenly.
And that’s a wrap for what’s currently inside my bag! As always, I’d love to know what necessities you like to carry around and if they differ from season to season. Also, do you switch bags from one season to the next? Please share in the notes!
