Bite Beauty launches some of the best lip sets during the Holidays. This year they have rolled out a total of four so far on Sephora and today I have swatches of the Champagne Discovery Lip Set ($35). Out of the four Holiday kits, this set by far tops the charts as it contains a combination of three full-size products in warm neutral tones that compliment each other wonderfully and are perfect for the Fall and Winter seasons. In this kit you will find:
- 0.17 oz / 4.75 g The Multistick – in Cashew
- 0.05 oz / 1.4 g The Lip Pencil – in #036
- 0.14 oz / 4g Lip Gloss – in Champagne
I already own The Multistick in Cashew (reviewed + swatched here), but decided to purchase the set so I could have it as a back-up. Cashew is one of my favorite go-to neutrals for the colder period since it adds a gorgeous warm medium rosy taupe touch with a matte finish. While I’m not a fan of matte finishes, I usually mix and match Cashew with a lip gloss by Bite Beauty for a glossy finish. Bite Beauty has one of the broadest libraries regarding neutral lip options, which is perfect for a neutral lip lover like myself. This set is the perfect introduction to Bite Beauty’s line if you have not tried them yet or are a fan looking to try a few different items at a value price.
This is my first time trying The Lip Pencil, and I have to say that for a standard lip pencil this formula completely blows me away. #036 is a medium rosy taupe with a matte finish that packs quite a bit of color and pigment. Consistency is smooth with very minimal tug and applied evenly to the lips granted if you have a steady hand. Unlike me before caffeine. The color smooths out perfectly and I love to line my lips with it first and then fill them in entirely to make them appear a little more plump. Lasting power is good. On its own the pencil wore about four hours, but in combination with the Cashew Multistick and gloss, much longer. I did not experience any smudging or bleeding and felt that the formula was hydrating as opposed to drying.
Last but not least is the Prismatic Pearl Crème Lip Gloss in Champagne. I have tried the Prismatic Pearl Crème Lip Gloss formula before (in this post), and my first impression was that the overall color and texture were really good. Champagne is a warm, light to medium bronzy gold with subtle orange undertones and has fine golden and pearl shimmer. It has semi- opaque coverage with a lightweight texture that is comfortable to wear without any grittiness from the shimmer particles. Champagne is such a gorgeous metallic color and adds a beautiful shine to the lips that is easy to apply, not to mention hydrating. On its own the color wore approximately four hours, in combination with both the pencil and Multistick, I got almost six out of it granted that I did not drink or eat too much.
Swatched on the arm
Swatched on the lips. For skin tone reference, I am not wearing any foundation and am completely barefaced here. My skin tone is medium with pink undertones.
Bottom line, there’s lots to love with this set whether you are new to Bite Beauty or are looking for a good lippie gift to give away or keep to yourself this Holiday season. All three shades are part of the brand’s permanent lineup, so even if you fall head-over-heels for one of the items, you will be able to purchase them individually long after Christmas is over. I found all three a hit and give them a huge thumbs up. The fact that this set contains three full-size products for the $35 pricetag is still beyond me since that makes it such an amazing value with $65 worth of products.
Have you checked out any of the Bite Beauty sets so far this year? Let me know in the notes!
