Becca Sunlit Bronzer | Bronzed Bondi & Capri Coast

May 9, 2017

Inspired by the world’s most famous beaches – from Bali and Bondi, over the Capri Coast, to Ipanema and Maui, Becca’s latest launch for Summer is the new Sunlit Bronzer ($38 / 0.25 oz – 7.1 g). With five sun-drenched shades available for every skintone, these neutral bronzers impart healthy-looking warmth for a sunkissed glow with impressive pigment, smooth blendable textures and the most beautiful luminous glow that I have ever seen. Bronzer is one of my favorite beauty products because I think it’s the one item that can really bring life to the face simply by adding a bit of warmth, dimension and color – the Sunlit Bronzers are quite unique in formula. They look and feel almost creamy but are clearly powders – that is because each of the beach-hued bronzers were created using Becca’s iconic Shimmering Skin Perfector formula that is custom-made with subtle shimmer, and it blends pigments with liquids which give them their creamy feel. One swipe offers impressive pigment and the powder’s silky texture allows you to customize your glow to either go from subtly sunkissed to a just-stepped-off-the-beach bronze.

The Becca Sunlit Bronzers have a very soft and creamy texture accompanied by a subtle luminosity and blend beautifully on the skin. In the pan the bronzers have a delicate degree of shimmer that does not translate upon application and in fact completely melts away resulting in a simply beautiful bronzed glow. Coverage is medium to full with good pigmentation so a little goes a long way. What I really love about these powders is that they are so buttery soft that blending and diffusing is easily achieved as well as layered for heavier coverage when desired. Lasting power is amazing – they stay put from morning until mid-evening without oxidizing on the skin, however they do darken just a tad.

A look at the color selection and descriptions as I see them

Bronzed Bondi – is a warm, medium to dark brown with subtle red undertones and a fine golden shimmer

Capri Coast – is a warm, medium brown and has a golden sheen

Swatched on the arm

I’ve been alternating between the two since I received them and give both a huge thumbs up. On my medium skin they add just the right amount of warmth (without being orangey) and glow – I also love to use either shade as a crease color on the eyes to achieve a gorgeous, cohesive bronzed look all over. These last all day long without fading or darkening too much. Bottom line, these are beautiful powders with gorgeous packaging and seamless application. I love a good luminous finish and these have the perfect mix of color, depth and glow to look natural while still wearing something.

You can buy the Becca Sunlit Bronzers online at Sephora, Ulta and Becca’s official website. Have you checked these out yet? If so, what are your thoughts?
