There have been a couple of exciting new Spring launches from Dior recently that have grabbed my attention as well as my heart. Besides their full seasonal color collection dubbed Colour Gradation, they also added more shades to their Diorskin Nude Air Luminzer line as well as launched two new lip additions to their Backstage Pros line with the Addict Lip Glow in Berry ($33 / 0.12 oz – 3.52 g) and the now cult famous Lip Sugar Scrub ($33 / 0.12 oz – 3.40 g). I picked up the latter two beautiful lip products along with a restock of the Diorskin Nude Air Luminzer in shade 001 ($56 / 0.21 oz – 5.95 g). I have the new Spring launches to review today but instead of doing separate posts on each, I decided to share a roundup of my favorite Dior products of the moment as I thought of it as helpful to visit all of them at once in a single post.
Up first are the two new lip products. For Spring, Dior launched 1 new shade for their Addict Lip Glow series in Berry. After researching swatches online I actually decided against picking up Berry as I thought of it as too moody of a color experiencing the current weather transition here in Vegas. The last two weeks we have had bouts of mild Spring-like weather almost bordering warm already and being as excited about climbing temps as I am, I have slowly started tailoring my makeup picks accordingly. So, instead of Berry I picked up a true classic in my book which is Pink. I purchased my first Addict Lip Glow around 2010-ish? – and have been a long-time fan since. Basically these are sheer balms that enhance your natural lip color while moisturizing and protecting the lips. I love how soft and smooth my lips feel and how naturally radiant they look when I wear this. More times than not I wear this by itself in lieu of a traditional lip formula because it gives the lips just enough tint to make it appear like you could or could not be wearing something. These are formulated with Dior’s color reviver technology, so the lipsticks adjust color with the chemistry of your lips to create a unique-to-you shade that will last all day. On me this sets into a soft glossy pink.
Next up is the Lip Sugar Scrub. The latest from the Backstage Pros, this is an exfoliating lip balm that holds grains of sugar that gently exfoliates and moisturizes in one sweep without having to rinse off the product. I LOVE lip scrubs and found this to be an interesting concept as it’s definitely not a standard lip exfoliant. With this one, you apply it like you would any lip product and the concentrated granita texture gently transforms into a balm as it melts on lips – leaving lips incredibly smooth and glossy. This also has the color-changing technology and on me sets into a soft mauvy pink.

Swatched on the lips. For skin tone reference, I am not wearing any foundation and am completely barefaced here. My skin tone is medium with pink undertones.
Lastly is the Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer in 001. Originally this shade was released during Dior’s Skyline Collection for Fall 2016 but has since then become permanent and now includes three more varieties of a pink-, golden and bronzed-based color. After checking on the other color options, I still find 001 the most stunning out of all of them. In my opinion, 001 is also the most versatile as it will work for all skin tones but of course will look different from person to person. It’s the prettiest warm champagne beige with peachy undertones that has a beautiful sheen finish. It has a finely milled smooth and silky texture that blends powder flawlessly into the skin for an almost second-skin look without emphasizing pores or exaggerating texture and stays put all day. Pigment is highly concentrated and I recommend taking ample time to buff out product in order to achieve that radiant luminous complexion. The highlighter comes with a travel-sized kabuki brush that is designed specifically to apply the product with but I find it a little on the petite side for my average-sized hands. I prefer to use one of my larger fluffy crease blending brushes for optimal color payoff and I find that doing this also gives me the diffused look I like.

Bottom line, I absolutely love everything from Dior but these are my top three standouts of the moment. The weather right now has already steered me into a Spring-like state of mind and I think the Pink Addict Lip Glow is that perfect neutral transition color that carries over very well from season to season. While I personally am a fan of the Lip Sugar Scrub as I’m a lip care product junkie, I would not necessarily deem this as a must-have but to me it’s a great fuss and mess-free medium to exfoliate my lips. The Diorskin Nude Air Luminzer 001 is just simply gorgeous, this is my second compact and it is one that I reach for quite often. For a highlighter it is on the spendy side and if you own similar shades than I recommend shopping your stash first as it is quite dupable. However, if I could recommend one out of these three than I’d definitely say go for the highlighter. Across the board, quality is on point. Pigment, texture and longevity are all excellent and these three will definitely be my Spring staples once the season officially rings in for that refined and radiant polished Dior look!
Have you tried any of these yet? What do you think?
