The latest addition to my fragrance collection is the Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Eau de Parfum ($79 / 1.7 fl oz – $99 / 3.4 fl oz). I’ve been a huge fan of Signorina ever since I received it in a sample version and immediately fell head-over-heels for the scent. It has a sophisticated elegant mix of pepper, musk, pannacotta, peony, rose, patchouli, jasmine and blackcurrant buds giving it a fresh and refined light feel with a very distinct sweet floral twist.
Signorina is described as “a celebration of chic girls with a sophisticated, fresh-scent signature. Elegant jasmine and the unexpected, delicate sweetness of pannacotta are blended together to create a refined and memorable fragrance.”
Smelling this definitely gives me that airy mood of Spring but the delicate balance of musk, jasmine and peony presents it as one that I feel I can truly wear year round. Part of me wishes I would have discovered it during the last Spring season because I would have worn it for the better part of the year. That being said, I have been wearing this frequently in rotation during this season with another new favorite of mine from Jo Malone and am loving it.
Strength-wise I would almost categorize it in the Eau de Toilette outfit as it’s a light scent that I can spray quite generously without having to worry about overdoing it – although for every fragrance I tend to stick to 4 spritzes max. Lasting power is superb, I apply this early in the morning and am still able to catch hints of it during the mid-hours of evening.
Overall this is a solid winner in my book for upcoming Spring and Summer scents which I’ve been actively scouting already these brisk days. I find that it lasts quite longer on me than most floral-type fragrances and it fades very nicely on the skin melding complimentary with my body chemistry. Unlike some floral inspirations have a tendency to do, this one does not turn sickingly sweet or bitter as it wears throughout the day. Bottom line, this one is perfect for me right now as we are in limbo with the weather here in Vegas and my fragrance routine calls for something that offers a quick transition. Some days it’s unbearably cold, only to be mild to hot later in the week. This is a lightweight sweet scent that brightens my mood and is something that many people ask about whenever I’m wearing it because they find it “intoxicating”. You can find the Signorina Eau de Parfum at Nordstrom, Dillards, Macys, as well as at Ferragamo.com.
