Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder In Radiant Light
The recent addition of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light – reviewed here – to my daily routine has swept me off my feet so much that I went ahead and purchased the shade Radiant Light as well. I was so impressed by the gorgeous glow Dim Light bestowed onto my face and how it made my complexion look flawless and uniform, that I could not help myself but actively stalk Hourglass’ entire makeup lineup. I have quite a few goodies on my wishlist as of right now but decided to complete the Ambient Lighting Powder section first, which included the shade Radiant Light as the final chapter.
Radiant Light is described as a golden beige, to me it reads exactly as that but contains a faint hint of a peach undertone. Its overall tone is warm and has a subtle luminous sheen that adds warmth and a beautiful radiant glow to the face. Just like with Dim Light, and for that matter all available shades from the Ambient Lighting Powder family, the formula is “infused with their innovative Photoluminescent Technology, each finishing powder captures, diffuses, and softens the look of the skin.” The Ambient Lighting Powders are specifically designed to enhance the complexion by mimicking different types of light, giving the skin a soft focus and overall smoother appearance. For my current light/medium skin with it being more medium because of a tan, Radiant Light works perfect as an all-over setting powder and instantly brings about such a gorgeous soft glow to the face that I don’t know what to do with myself. The formula contains enough of both pigment and sheen to mimic said different lighting while still veiling the face in that pretty golden beige without it being too overwhelming. Since this technically is a setting powder, the product does sheer out to a mostly translucent powder that adds warmth, a little color and a whole lot of glow. Also, because this is a powder, it has prolonged the wear of my foundation quite considerably – and I thought that wasn’t possible since it lasts quite a bit without any outside help other than a setting spray.

The texture is fine-milled and feels super soft. Because it is so soft and silk-like it melts right into the skin and blends out nicely and evenly – instantly illuminating the face without emphasizing pores or skin’s texture. Lasting power is equally as impressive as Dim Light and it literally wore from morning until nighttime without letting up.

Never before have I fallen in love so fast and hard with a product, let alone a brand. I have honestly found another holy grail powder thanks to Radiant Light. It does not happen too often that I strike lucky twice with finding products that make such an impact on how my makeup looks that I consider them “game changing”. So far both of the shades of the Ambient Lighting Powders I own have made it into that category. It just gives the most breathtaking glow to my face while instantaneously enhancing the overall texture and appearance. I still stand behind my statement that everyone at least needs one of these in their life. Trust!
