Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick In Child Star
Without contest, liquid lipsticks have been the breakout star of the year 2016 in makeup. Lip colors in melted form with matte finishes have been all the rage wherever you look (hello Instagram) proving that the made-over lipstick phenom has captured the hearts across all boards. Ever since I purchased the Tarte Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint in Namaste ($20 / 0.20 oz) – reviewed here -, I have to admit that after getting a taste of the overall finished result and how my pout looked coated in the moussey liquid lipstick, my interest and curiosity levels have skyrocketed starting an itch wanting more. The Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick ($21 / 0.4 oz) has been on my radar for quite some time. I’ve long avoided purchasing another liquid lipstick because one is never the same in comparison to another but after seeing so many amazing swatches on social media, and then seeing it for myself in store, I decided to give it a go. Many of the lipsticks I had my eye out due to swatches seen online were completely sold out (and now I know why) so the shade I ended up with is Child Star (a matte soft nude).
When I first swiped on Child Star I was blown away by how richly pigmented and beautiful the color (seriously, I still can’t get over how stunning the shade is) was, and by how smooth it went onto my lips which the feeling can be compared to that of a good lip gloss. The formula is super opaque and gives the lips full coverage with a rich matte color. Pigment is unlike anything I’ve ever seen and is beyond incredible. The texture is lightweight so it wears very comfortable without any tightness and lasting power exceeds over 6 hours on me before it started wearing and tearing around the inner rim of the mouth.
These come equipped with a doe-foot applicator that is really easy to use. The pointed foot comfortably hugs the curves of the lips and makes it effortless to get around with pinpoint precision.

I’m really impressed with the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick and honestly cannot wait to try more of these. The color is super saturated and pigmented. Lasting power especially for a lip product is unsurpassed. I love how it sits on my lips and never feels dry. The formula is infused with Volulip for a no-sting plumping and smoothing effect and antioxidant-rich avocado oil and vitamin E to moisturize, while hyaluronic filling spheres smooth the look of lip lines, so it does not crack or settle into fine lines nor does the product cling on to dry patches. I give this 2 really big thumbs up.
