Buxom Customizable Eyeshadow Bar Single Refills

I was beyond thrilled when I found out that my local Ulta started carrying the Buxom product line and immediately went during my lunch to pick up their highly hyped about lip glosses. Since I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of said glosses and discovered for myself that all of the raves and claims were true, during another lunch run not too long ago I scoped out the pretty display to find different products to try. Scanning the various lip and face products available, it was then my eye fell on this petite section nested in the top left that contained a library of eyeshadow singles and like a mad woman on a mission I started swatching just about all of them before deciding on the 4 I ultimately ended up with. Going through the process of swatching and narrowing down picks became kind of overwhelming because there are so many options to choose from. 40 in total ($12 each / 0.05 oz)! Ranging in different textures from matte, metallic, satin and shimmer – I picked out 2 metallics and 2 shimmers because well, I love anything glitzy.

The 4 colors I picked out are of course in the neutral realm. Featuring primer-infused technology to help keep color locked in place and last all day, the pigment in every single pan is powerful and very impressive. People, there’s SO MUCH pigment in these it’s almost insane. The texture is buttery soft and smooth with a powder-to-silk feel that is easy to layer but trust me, one swipe delivers an intense color payoff that stays on the lid from day to night without budging. Each shade finishes into a luxurious, high performing and high impact metallic or shimmer. Just like my expanding bronzer collection, at this point another eyeshadow was definitely the last thing I needed but being a beauty addict always has me curious about testing new brands and their formulas. In the past when I read/heard the name Buxom the first thing that came to mind was lip glosses only, so naturally I did not know what to expect from their eyeshadow selection. After testing them for a while I can definitely say that these have exceeded my expectations. Pigment is impressive, texture is super easy to blend, they’re soft, have lasting power and there is a diverse library of shades to choose from to satisfy someone’s personal preferences.

Every color I currently own is high-performing in all facets of what I personally want out of an eyeshadow. At this point I’m itching to go back and create an entire custom palette with some of the other shades I had my eye on prior in store. They’re absolutely amazing, stunning and I could not rave about these more even if I tried.
