Morphe Brushes 350Matte & 350Shimmer Nature Glow Bundle

I’ve been curious about the Morphe 350 – 35 Color Nature Glow Eyeshadow Palette and the 350M – 35 Color Matte Nature Glow Eyeshadow Palette (each retail for $22.99) for quite some time and finally made the jump to purchasing both when they had the 350Matte & 350Shimmer Nature Glow Bundle ($43.99) back in stock. I seriously need another eyeshadow palette (or 2 in this case) like I need a headache. But like any other hardcore devoted beauty junkie, I can and always will justify a new beauty purchase for the sake of research and trying as many products as my budget allows because having a grande library of knowledge can come as useful during certain times. Also, I can’t help but be curious. When Morphe announced on their Twitter account that the bundle was back in stock, I did not waste a single precious second and ordered these babies for what I think is an amazing price.

The reason it took so long for me to add these palettes to my collection is because, 1) I have a lot of palettes already and did not see the necessity in adding another; and 2) My perhaps most annoying trait is that I need to visually see in person and physically touch a new makeup product before I decide to spend money on it. Despite not having in-person access to sampling before buying there are a number of raving reviews about the Morphe eyeshadow palettes, these 2 in particular, so I went for it. The colors looked beautiful to me with a few of the warmer shades making me hesitant to wear them. That being said, I have zero regrets about purchasing the bundle – in my mind, this is probably one of the best investments I’ve made in makeup so far this year. Each palette contains 35 shadows that are extremely pigmented and finishes smoothly with the overall tone of both palettes, being on the neutral and largely on a warmer front with a few cooler-toned options as well.

Since I have been so thrilled with both of them, and due to the fact that there is a lot to look at, I decided to cut the bundle up into 2 separate posts dedicating one to each version with today’s first post I will be swatching and discussing the shimmer palette. I’m a sucker for shimmers.

The 350Shimmer Nature Glow Palette has all shimmer eyeshadows with the exception of a few that are a tiny bit glittery and all range in the neutral zone with the exception of the burnt orange color. The shadows are creamy while soft in texture and apply smoothly onto the skin with ultimate color deposit. These shadows are so pigmented that you don’t need much to achieve a certain type of intensity. I love how they blend into the skin and when layered with other colors (warm and cool alike), as with the matte versions of these, the range of looks you can create almost becomes endless making this one of the most versatile palettes I own.

Some of the shadows are a bit on the powdery side as you will notice in the swatches, but nothing I can’t handle cause fallout is very minimal. These shimmers offer some of the richest pigments I have ever been able to experience, even from my more higher-end palettes, and have an amazing soft finish with a sheen that is beyond gorgeous. This palette has given me life, to say the least, and I cannot believe that something this inexpensive embodies the quality of what a luxury product should entail. I have tried a multitude of looks so far and all shadows used in the process wore (well over 9 hours) without fading, shimmer fallout, or creasing. I would have worn them longer but once work is over and I have nowhere else to go, the makeup comes off immediately. Despite that the shadows stick to the skin without any problems, I do recommend using an eyeshadow primer because, shimmer.

Let’s move on the good stuff, shall we? Since the colors are unnamed and unnumbered, in order to not cause any confusion or a mix-up in which color is which, I decided to swatch them accordingly vertically from row to row starting from left to right. Feast your eyes on these:

Stay tuned for a review and more delectable swatches of the matte version tomorrow!
