While gawking at the new stores placed inside the Caesar’s Palace Forum Shops that were not there when we left, many of them stood out and tantalized my beauty senses. Think Inglot, Chanel, Lush Cosmetics, etc. When I walked passed the latter and was greeted by the waft of delightful aromas swaying out of their doors, suddenly I was reminded by the one mask that I had been hearing about for many, many months – the Mask of Magnaminty. Browsing their shelves, which by the way are stocked with much goodness that need some further investigation once I get back, as if on cue my eye was greeted by the wide range of the popular peppermint clay mask. Since usually you don’t really get the option to choose between a full or sort of trial size, instead of grabbing the large pot I opted for the 4.4 oz (non-preserving) just to see what this hyped up product was all about.
I fell in love.
This is perhaps the most refreshing mask I have ever used and what my face needed after months of experimenting with masks and whatnot to combat this cystic acne problem I previously had been dealing with. The peppermint and china clay literally feel like it’s getting deep down and pulling all of the dirt out of my pores, not just targeting the surface. Followed by a lovely tingling sensation, may I add, that to me translates how clean my face is without the harsh dryness a mask sometimes can leave behind. Even though many mask ranges say that it won’t dry out your face, the annoying feeling afterwards with some have told me different in the past. After cleansing my face I slather on the mask and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then I rinse off using lukewarm water while using swift circular motions to exfoliate. It’s paradise from there on.
Readily I will admit that the words “natural ingredients” scare me off in most cases. When they say organic, natural, gluten-free and whatever else is trendy right now, I will never be the one to volunteer trying it. However, what I really enjoy about this mask is that it is mostly formulated from fresh and natural ingredients. When used in comparison with one of the other many masks I currently own, you definitely feel the difference in skin texture afterwards. In fact, this mask has been so good to me that I may have reevaluate my entire regiment once I get back and might have to replace many of my current favorites with their more natural component.
