The culture of going to bed is an event all on its own. I find the act of removing makeup, putting my hair back and preparing to go to sleep performing my evening skin routine very therapeutic. It’s “me” time, every woman deserves a little R&R at the end of her day. I start with cleansing my face using the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, surprise, using wide upwards swimming motions for 20 seconds before rinsing and pat drying to go into step two of double-cleansing. I have been double cleansing using the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Oil for the last few weeks and I have been noticing that my skin feels so much more lighter and cleaner afterwards. Noticing a big difference in how the cotton pad after toning with the Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner looked prior to starting double-cleansing versus now. There’s no trace of dirt or makeup left, period.
After I brush my teeth and floss using the amazing Dentek Comfort Clean Floss Picks for the cleanest mouth ever may I add, I squeeze a few drops of the Mario Badescu Cellufirm Drops and massage it into my face and neck. Brushing my hair while I let that sit for a while, I have been keeping my cystic acne in control by blotting a little of the product on the affected areas every other night using the Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion. This is holy grail business for cystic acne, trust me. I started using the Ole Henriksen Total Truth™ Vitamin C Eye Crème SPF 15 in the recent weeks, and I don’t know how to exactly feel about it yet. It absorbs really quickly which is a big plus but it seems like it semi- irritates my eyes if any product accidentally seeps into them. Which I’ve never experienced an eye cream that was mildly irritating. I will give it another couple of weeks before I decide to give up on it. At the moment I’m totally loving the Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream, it is so luxurious, so smooth, absolutely hydrating. I revel every night when I apply it, it feels like that “ahhh” moment for your skin. Highly recommend this night cream for those who are particularly dry.
Another product that I’m absolutely in love with right now is the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask. It can be used as a quick 10-minute mask but personally I only use it as an overnight mask to really concentrate on repairing my complexion. My evenings and especially around bedtime are anything but restful so I need a highly concentrated mask that really is able to restore my skin to where I don’t wake up looking completely lifeless. Also an extra tip, keep it in the fridge, like heaven on the skin. Lastly, I dab Nivea Creme into my lips using my ring finger before turning the lights off.
