Winter, the everyday elements and personal wellbeing can be extremely taxing on your skin. Through the seasonal changes, the temperamental elements and self-inflicted anxiety or stress, a good face mask can be the unsung medley your face is craving. A face mask is timeless, seasonless, classic, a skin rescue and your standby. It’s a product for the ages, if you will.

Face masks occupy a great bit of real estate within my beauty regime – for me, skin is where it all starts and I will do anything to restore its health. Uncomplicated as the product format may be, these jarred marvels are packed full of ingredients that superbly nourish skin and maintain its balance. More so, they are designated to only improve and enhance your current complexion condition. Needless to say, I get extremely excited over new additions to my ever-growing mask family.

Below I highlighted all of my current masks and outlined short recap about their target purpose and how they have worked so far for me. And don’t forget to recommend your favorite masks in the notes!

Glamglow – THIRSTYMUD™ Hydrating Treatment
What is it – A nondrying hydration mask to deliver instant, extreme hydration.
What has it done for me: The difference between my skin before and after using this mask is over-the-top noticeable. Skin looks extremely supple, hydrated, healthy and feels beyond soft. If you suffer from dry skin, this mask will instantly restore any and all moisture factors back to your skin. I kid you not, this is so worth the $69.

Glamglow – SUPERMUD™ CLEARING TREATMENT
What is it – A scientifically advanced SUPERMUD™ clearing treatment to target, prevent, and heal problem skin.
What has it done for me: I mainly use this for spot-treating a stray pimple overnight to dry out the culprit and shrink it down to a manageable size. Previously I used this as an all-over face mask to draw out impurities but found something better instead. That being said, I would not be able to exclude this potent drying agent to treat breakouts.

Glamglow – YOUTHMUD™ TINGLEXFOLIATE TREATMENT
What is it – A 10-minute professional-quality mud mask for men and women.
What has it done for me: It’s supposed to be a gentle exfoliator that promotes a brighter and more radiant complexion, but honestly I don’t see it. It tingles, it exfoliates to a certain degree but doesn’t necessarily do a whole lot. There are better exfoliators out there, thank god I got this in a travel size with the Glamglow holiday set I bought before Christmas instead of wasting the $69.

First Aid Beauty – Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask
What is it – A deeply hydrating mask that calms, nourishes, and smooths distressed skin.
What has it done for me – True to its name, this mask truly does calm distressed skin. My hormonal breakouts have been significantly reduced down to just once a month during the obvious time but no longer outside of that. This has helped to keep breakouts under control. It’s the perfect 10-min fix to stressed-out skin.

First Aid Beauty – Skin Rescue Purifying Mask With Red Clay
What is it – A 20-minute peel-off mask to detoxify, reduce pores, and control excess oil.

Origins – Clear Improvement™ Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores
What is it – A mask with activated charcoal to draw out deep-dwelling pore-cloggers.
What has it done for me – You can read my detailed encounter right here.

Peter Thomas Roth – Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask
What is it – A cooling, soothing gel to help counteract visible signs of aging for younger-looking skin.
What has it done for me – Love, love, LOVE, this mask! I store this in the fridge and apply a thin layer over my night cream before going to bed so it goes to work as an overnight sleeping mask, by morning my skin looks so refreshed and glows like nobody’s business. I have noticed a significant difference in my laugh lines and the expression lines between my brows that they are much more subdued and blurred than before. Overall, I’ve only been using this for a short amount of time but it has definitely made a big impact already.
