Lorac TANtalizer Highlighter & Matte Bronzer Duo

Bronzer and highlighter is my kryptonite, I own quite a bit of both and always seem to be browsing those specific departments in the hunt to add more new additions. You can never own too many or enough, right? Which is why when Lorac released their TANtalizer Highlighter & Matte Bronze Duo I was very excited because it combines both my favorites into one travel-friendly compact.

The duo consist of the perfect blend of a warm, matte bronzer that is great for both contouring and applying as an all-over sunkissed veil that is applicable for all four seasons. Sometimes certain bronzers you can just tell will only work for the Summer, but this shade does not fall in that category. The highlighter shade is a gorgeous champagne pink that catches just the right amount of light and casts a beautiful, healthy non-evasive glow. It’s not overwhelming and simply flatters the high points of where you apply it with a soft look.

Both shades are moderately pigmented and will appear rather sheer at first. It requires some layering before reaching a desired payoff. But if you are fair/pale, the bronzer shade could show up quite orange if you remain to build layer upon layer. This particular bronzing shade would work probably the best on medium skin tones and potentially on more tan skin tones. That being said, the highlighter is universal and will look flawless on any skin tone.

That being said, right now I’m at my palest and I kind of prefer the control over the application so I can opt to either wear this sheer or more emphasized. Personally, my contour is always soft regardless if I’m pale or slightly more tanned because I simply am not a fan of the overly sculpted look – so this bronzer is more than perfect. All I need is one generous pick-up along the features I choose to contour and then blend it out using a large fluffy brush. Same accounts for a all-over bronzing application, I’m only adding warmth and not attempting to enforce a full-on faux tan. As I already said, the highlighter shade is universal. If you see it at first it may look like this is going to be chunky in glitter and quite shimmery, but it’s so not. In fact I do like how both these shades completely compliment one another.

By now you are most likely already aware that Lorac makes some of the best and high quality shades on the market, no difference in this compact. The shades blend super smoothly with a velvety texture and despite that they are moderately pigmented are rich enough to last all throughout the day. They sit nice and comfortably with a lightweight feel. Love it. It’s the perfect contour/highlight product all wrapped into one.
