Chapped lips are probably one of the worst assaults on the pucker during Winter. I never suffer from dry, cracked lips until it hits a certain temperature, and even slathering my lips in balms pretty much 24/7 virtually doesn’t help. Whenever the forecast decides to wreak havoc on my not-Angelina Jolie lips, I fight back with a hydrating exfoliating treatment that I make right from my kitchen using common ingredients. The following quick lip scrub is super easy, very efficient, not to mention incredibly moisturizing and healthy that will leave your pout in game-ready condition.
What you will need:
1. A small tub for mixing;
2. A spoon;
3. Coconut oil;
5. Brown sugar;
In a separate bowl/tub have 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Start by adding 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and mix the concoction together. Next, add 1-2 teaspoon of cinnamon to the mixture depending on how much you want to make. Mix together until thoroughly dispersed. Once done, use a clean finger to take a scoop and apply to the lips, massaging the scrub in circular motions. The amount of time you scrub entirely depends on you, keep in mind that the longer you scrub, the more intense the exfoliation treatment is.
After you’re done, gently wipe off the scrub using a clean wash cloth, and immediately follow with a good, hydrating lip balm.
